SHURIKEN SHANNON / TRICK MIX

Kicking off CCS' 40 Years Of Santa Cruz week on The Corner is one of the team's newest pro rider additions—San Diego's own Shuriken Shannon. Looking very comfortable and at home in his local park in Ocean Beach, it's not wonder why Santa Cruz recruited this all terrain street marauder for the team.

Smooth tranny skills including lofty switch and regular backside flips back-to-back matched with all around creativity on the streets make Shuriken a pleasure to watch shred. Check him out in the special Santa Cruz edition of Trick Mix.

Para comenzar con la semana de Santa Cruz, empezamos con uno de los nuevos del equipo de ,, el propio de San Diego, Shuriken Shannon. Muy comodo es su skatepark local, en Ocean Beach, esta claro porque Santa Cruz ha incorporado a este todo terreno al equipo . 

Una tecnica suave incluyendo en swtich y unos trucos con creatividad por las calles hacen que sean un gusto ver a Shannon patinar. Echale un ojo a este TRICK MIX.

JOEY BREZINSKI / TRICK TIP / HOT WING

There's probably no pro skater out there better suited to teach manual style tricks than Joey Brezinski. The Manny Mania champ knows a thing or two about rolling on two wheels and is here to break down an unusual manual variation—The Hot Wing. The Hot Wing is a full body, mid manuel twist that takes you from a manuel to a fakie nose manuel or visa versa. There's really not much to it aside from making sure your turn is quick and your balance remains even from manuel to manuel. The big secret here, as Joey says, is to watch where you're going—balance is in the eyes, grasshopper. Go learn 'em!

El campe´n del Manny Mania, sabes un par de cosas sobre como estar sobre dos ruedas , y como hacer variaciones de Manual . .. como por ejemplo el HoT wing ... el Hot Wing es un medio manual de cuerpo que te lleva desde un manual hasta un fakie nose y viceversa..no hay mucho mas que decir , solo que gires rapido y de que tu equilibrio permanezca igualado de un manual al otro . El gran secreto , como dice Joey , ver a donde vas ... el equilibrio esta en los ojos ... saltamontes . Vete por ahí  y aprendelo !! 

SILAS BAXTER-NEAL / BACKSIDE BLUNT

Up this week with a trick tip is Adidas pro Silas Baxter-Neal who explains in grand detail the proper steps behind executing a textbook backside blunt. Notice the pop out on this one, folks. Silas chooses the ollie-out approach, which, if you're so inclined, is the most stylish way to exit this most righteous of tranny maneuvers. Silas makes it all look easy and at multiple angles no less. As with every trick tip, the best way is to watch, watch again and then watch again—then go learn. Good luck out there.
