VOL.4 / LIVE HEAVY TRAVEL LIGHT / 2014

We had a great time last year working on the "Live Heavy Travel Light" Project. We kicked it off with 3 amazing trips. The first was our Maiden Voyage up through Lake Havasu, Vegas, Red Rock and up to Salt Lake. Next was the SXSW trip with guest Arctic, where we rolled through Austin, Dallas, OKC, New Mexico, and Arizona skating & playing shows the whole way. Then there was the Northwest trip, also guest starring Arctic heading north into SF, camping through Oregon, Portland, and a cancelled show in Seattle then a last minute dash back to LA where Arctic opened for High on Fire. We want to thank everyone that supported us along the way, for the unforgettable memories and amazing hospitality. We look forward to continuing our never ending search for good times. May the road go on forever and the party never end, Live Heavy Travel Light.

Pasamos un tiempo genial, trabajando en el proyecto "Live Heavy Travel Light", todo comenzó con tres viajes increíbles. El primero fue el viaje principal por el Lago Havasu, en Vegas, Red Rock, y luego pasando por Salt Lake. El siguiente viaje fue el paso por el SXSW, como invitado con Artic, donde rodamos por Austin, Dallas, OKC, Mejico y Arizona patinando y haciendo algunos shows por todo el camino. Entonces vino el viaje al Noroeste, también como invitados con Artic, tirando hacia el norte , en San Francisco y acampando por Oregon, Portland y un show cancelado en Seattle, y de vuelta a Los Angeles donde Artic abrió para High on Fire. Queremos darles las gracias por las historias inolvidables y la gran hospitalidad. Queremos y deseamos que nunca se acabe esta búsqueda de buenos tiempos !. Que la carretera continue para siempre y que la fiesta nunca acabe . Live Heavy, Travel Light.

RVCA / RAIN OR SHINE / UK TOUR

The RVCA Rain or Shine UK tour takes the team to skate London through the Tube and also encountering on the way some double decker buses crushing some of our team riders boards and trucks. Freckles band was with us to rock all the events on the way. Tour was with Josh Harmony, Kevin ‘Spanky’ Long, Jeremy Leabres, Didrik Galasso, Octavio Barrera, Charles Collet, Barney Page and Remy Taveira.

El tour de los de RVCA , en el Reino Unido , haga sol o llueva, , donde se fueron a patinar por Londres, por el metro y donde se encontraron de camino con los buses de dos plantas, cargandose algunas de las tablas de los riders de la marca. NIXON EUROPE / HAPPY F*KNG TRIP / SICILY

Nixon is proud to present another sweet escape of its skateboarding team, following the great success of the first edition of the “Happy F*KNG Trip” last year.

Once more, 6 Nixon’s European riders took off to hit the road together – the destination was no other that the beautiful island of Sicily deep down south in the Italian peninsula.

Consisting of the usual suspects Alain Goikoetxea, JB Gillet, Alex Mizurov, Antony Lopez and Javier Sarmiento, joined by the HFT German rookie Denny Pham, the group found out quickly that Sicily has got much more to offer than “just” a stunning landscape and fantastic pizzas. In between the Volcano of Etna and picturesque beaches, they found what can be described as the El Dorado of any skateboarder: an uncountable variety of unexplored street spots, friendly locals, quite indifferent policemen and plenty of possibilities to test the newest technical trickery. Topped off with a summer that never seems to end, this mission meant nothing but good times.

Nixon está orgulloso de presentar otra encantadora escapada de su equipo de skate, siguiendo el gran exito de su primera edición , " Happy F*king Trip" del año pasado.

Una vez mas , 6 de los riders europeos de Nixon se van de tour por la carretera juntos, su destino no era otro que la bonita isla de Sicilia, en el sur de la peninsula de Italia.

Consiste de los usuales sospechosos como son Alain Goikoetxea, JB Gillet, Alex Mizurov, Antony Lopez y Javier Sarmiento, se unieron con Denny Pham, y el grupo se dió cuenta rápidamente que Sicilia, tiene mucho mas que ofrecer que tan solo un bonito paisaje y unas pizzas fantásticas. Entre el volcán del Etna y las playas pintorescas, ellos descubre lo que puede ser descrito como El Dorado de cualquier skater: una variedad incontable de calles inexplorada de spots, locales amistosos, unos policías bastante indeferentes y un monton de posibilidades de comprobar los nuevos trucos técnicos. Todo esto con un verano que parece que nunca va a acabar, esta misión no significa mas que buen rollo !
